Bug Hunt
Miracle of the natural world...Live underground anywhere from 3 to 17 years, crawl out of your hole in the ground,climb a tree or whatever other vertical object happens to be in the way, crack out of your protective armor,dry your wings and fly away; then for two weeks (if something doesn't eat you) look for a mate, procreate and die! Isn't LIFE grand!?
We enjoy searching for the bugs just after dark and watching their progress as they become flyers even though we have to deal with the occasional spider web. The twins are taking a 'grossology' class at the zoo this week so this kinda fits in. Sweet Dreams!

Our cicada symphony started up here just a couple weeks ago, so it is a great time for moonlit walks.. not sure I want to see them in action though, so kudos to the little girls for being so intrepid!
