In Case You Missed It

I was hoping for clear skies to get a good view of today's solar eclipse but had clouds up until the beginning. We had about 45 minutes or so of good viewing before some low clouds obscured the view. Still,it was pretty cool! Shot these with a Canon dslr attached to a 6 inch telescope with a solar filter. Hoping to get some photos and video of Venus transit on June 5th....music here :"Green Onions" by Booker-T & the MGs.

hahaha- very cool, I kept waiting for the ring of fire, but at some point I realized, oh right it was only observable as such for a few places- cool set up - thanks for sharing- how do you create the video and post it to blogger? since the blog format changed there is no easy video upload option and I was wondering how you were accomplishing it. Have a memorable Memorial Day Orbans!

Thanks lem. I created the slide show in my photo editor, lightroom, and then added it to the post using the movie clapper icon in the composing toolbar. Hope all is well with your gang. Have a great holiday. I'm making pizza with your mom's crust recipe!

I'm catching up with your blog today. Thanks for posting this. We were in West Virginia that night and it wasn't visible from that part of the country, evidently.

Thanks Tin, the movie clapper icon is no longer on the composing toolbar on Jade's blog so I'm not sure what happened when recently the composing format changed. Anyhow the pizza crust sounded tasty- I bake croutons at the bakery every Tues. night. I'll see if Javi will help me get a bag into the mail for the girls.
Also I am going to try to get some glasses for the Venus transit on the 5th.
