Colorado Check-Up

While spending the work-week in Bloomfield working at the Milagro plant and staying in Farmington, New Mexico, I managed to sneak off to Colorado and snag a quick visit with Joe and Becca. We had a lovely, if way to short, visit - delicious dinner at Tequila's family Mexican restaurant and wandered along Main Ave, Durango looking in shop windows and checking out the great bookstore. While browsing in the bookstore, Joe found a cute puppet and checked him out while Becca was attacked by a stuffed dog. It was wonderful to see B and J and I can hardly wait to hear the news about the next baby in the family. Boy or Girl? Either way, I am sure he/she will be adorable.

Weather in NM was nice while I was there, sunny and 50's during the day. Several of our group managed to sneak out of the plant an hour early to visit the ruins in Aztec Wed. afternoon. The ruins are preserved as a National Monument and were a wonderful treat. On our way home Friday afternoon, we spent an hour at the Petroglyph National Monument just outside of Albuquerque. The petroglyphs are cool but you just can't see all 2000 of them in an hour visit.

Next trip out, I will have to stay an extra day or so and get a real visit. Thanks for meeting me in Durango guys.
