Emory Pete Kreissler arrived at 4:00 pm today, weighing in at 8 lbs., 15 oz. Cara is doing well, and the baby is in perfect condition. Will post pics when we have some.
We thought this is a very interesting website that shows eagles in Iowa hatching and raising their brood of three eaglets. We've seen the parents feed their young all sorts of meals they caught, and protect them from two snowstorms! It's just beautiful to watch. Just click on the title to connect with the website. Sorry you will have to sit thru a short commercial every time you log in.
Exciting News! Auntie Jan agreed to teach the girls some quilting skills and they started today with a classic 9-square. Jan had done the real work of cutting and marking but the girls took to the peicing and spent most of Sunday working on their first project - a pillow! Each pieced 2 9-squares and then they each sewed half of the joining seam. It is ready for fusable interfacing, selection of a back/edge color fabric and finish work (we will need more help from our expert, Jan of course).
What a fun day - Thanks Jan, I can't wait to see the finished pillow.
