The young'uns started High School today. Hard to fathom the passage of time.

Nightwatch

The grass is green, the humidity high; seems like it's been raining since the 4th of July. Haven't had a good clear night in quite a while but maybe the weather is about to break. Hopefully we'll have some clear skies this week as the annual Perseid meteor shower is "supposed" to be a good one! This coming weekend will be peek viewing time. Several other astronomical events will occur this week so I'm hoping for clear skies and good viewing. Here's a link to Sky and Telescope:http://www.skyandtelescope.com/

Bumper Crop

 When it got hot and dry a couple weeks ago I figured our garden was toast.We watered a little but really couldn't keep up. With the recent rains and cooler temps the tomatoes and cucumbers have made a remarkable comeback.
   Cucumber salad anyone?!
