The Halloween festivities started Friday and lasted all weekend. The girls went to a Halloween Party/fundraiser for a classmate with cancer on Friday night, Saturday fun included the 4-H Horse Club party/hayride at the Hays' Ranch all afternoon followed by the family costume party at the J&J Cornerstone haunted warehouse, then trick-or-treating in the usual neighborhood on Sunday night. We spotted Elvis singing in his driveway.
Competition for best costume at the Haunted Warehouse was FIERCE. Although Pantsquatch came out on top, Igor was frightening indeed. HangMan was creepy, Ab and Miss Souther Bell represented North and South, EMO Peter Pan and BraveHeart gave one pause. Athena and Cleopatera were georgeous, and the Forest Ranger and several Bears were spotted as well as the Mummy and her top Banana, Patton, the Devil, the Rabid Woodsman and Pink Poodle Girl, SuperBaby, two Ghosts, the Tribe and more.
Way fun party. For ALL the Pictures, check out the link by clicking the post title.
We captured, tagged and released 65 monarchs in two days to finish our tagging season with a flourish. The girls just happened to be on fall break. Click title for link to MonarchWatch. Big Thanks out to Cara for turning us on to this organization!
Cold hearted orb That rules the night Removes the colours From our sight Red is gray and Yellow white But we decide Which is right And Which is an Illusion*
Many views, many choices...reality for one may be fantasy for another.
Mother would have been 80 years old today. I still miss her every day, but sure glad I got to know her in the time we had. Grateful that my kids have such wonderful memories of her, too.
